Sao Paulo

The city of Sao Paulo is the economic capital of Brazil and is both the main tourist center, has an area of 1493 square kilometers consisting of buildings, hills, valleys and 34 million. Its main streets are occupied by businesses involved in trade. In Sao Paulo is the Port of Santos, the largest in Latin America and bridge link to thousands of tourists who visit the city annually. The state has 625 municipalities, of which 36 form the Region of Sao Paulo with 17 million inhabitants.



Recommended places to visit in So Paulo are:

Brazilian Art Museum of Sao Paulo, considered one of the best represents the art and culture of the country, and the most important reserve of European art in Latin America, and the State Art Gallery, an art museum nineteenth century which has more than 4,000 works.

There is also the famous resort of Guaruja, located about 87 kilometers from the city, has beaches and the pitangueiras and Asturias, suitable for swimming. Beach doTombo however, is not suitable for swimming, but for surfing. Other important beaches are Guaiúba, Prainha Branca and Iporanga, all gentle and perfect for relaxed swimming. In Caraguatatuba and Ubatuba, beaches are blue and all the mountains are covered in green, are the ideal place for nature tourism. Picinguada Beach, known for being of fishermen and by large expanses of green areas is also considered another preferred destination for those who enjoy eco tourism.
